Wendy Anderson Fujihara

Wendy is co-founder and producer of the Cherry Blossom Festival Southern California, held in downtown Los Angeles with 60,000 attendees in 2010 – a 100% volunteer production team for a free admission event to the public. She is the founder and owner of WOW! Event Productions & Public Relations and has produced/coordinated corporate parties, annual fundraising dinners, golf tournaments, team building corporate events, silent auctions for nonprofits to a major sports memorabilia auction held at Dodger Stadium. Within the entertainment field, Wendy worked on the nationally aired American Comedy Awards for 13 years as the Assistant Event Coordinator, and the Muhammad Ali Birthday Special, which aired on CBS.

Wendy has been nominated for 5 international awards for the event industry, winning 1 Gala Award (The Special Events) and 2 Esprit Awards (International Special Events Society). She won 5 regional/chapter awards for the International Special Events Society, and a Legacy Award from the Western Region for her role as the Executive Producer of taking a Chapter Awards Show to a Regional Event. She currently serves as the Co-President of the Board of East West Players, the nations premier Asian Pacific American theatre; Program Chair for the National Women’s Political Caucus, Greater Pasadena; and Vice Chair, Member Services of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the International Festival & Events Association (IFEA), Prior to Wow! Productions she founded City Personnel Services, a successful employment service for 10 years in the Mid-Wilshire district of Los Angeles, serving thousands of employees/employers throughout the Los Angeles basin. Wendy wrote for Working World Magazine and created the popular “Working Around the World” column; provided free community workshops for job seekers and created an always capacity filled workshop “Dispelling the Older Myths During the Job Search Process”. She served as a Certified Court & Community Mediator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association for 14 years, mediating and resolving cases for the first Superior Court Judge-requested mediation in Los Angeles.

In 2008, she received the State of California Legislative Women In Business Award honored by State Senator Jack Scott and Assembly members Paul Krekorian and Anthony Portantino. She was also recognized with a Volunteer Service Award from the 70 year old Pasadena Council of Women’s Club organization.
